This activitiy is geared towards older students. It takes the forum of a debate. An issue is presented to the whole class and students have to decide what stand they take. Students are asked if they agree or disagree and based upon what they decide they will group up with those who have their same point of view. Once they are all in their groups it comes time for students to express their opinion. After everyone has shared their thoughts the students are given the opportunity to change their position. Then comes the moment where the teacher can discuss the opinions shared and try to persuade specific students to change their position.
